SEEKING HOLIDAY SPIRIT? DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN’S GOT IT.

There’s no place like Downtown Brooklyn during the holidays. From the avant-garde to the traditional, here are four don’t-miss holiday mood-setting activities to do this season.

‘A VERY MEOW MEOW HOLIDAY SHOW’ AT BAM, 651 Fulton Street
BAM calls it “dazzling with exquisite and original music, glitter for days, and hilarious, biting satire,” we call it the perfect team outing. New Yorker performer of the year Meow Meow (and friends) put on a funny and subversive performance December 12-14.

‘JOY TO THE WORLD’ AT BROOKLYN TABERNACLE, 17 Smith Street, Main Sanctuary
The famed multicultural, nondenominational church (and home to six-time Grammy Award-winning, 270-voice Brooklyn Tabernacle choir) will put on their annual free holiday play on December 15, 17, 19-22.  It promises, as always, to be a packed, extravagant performance.

MACY’S DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN HOLIDAY WINDOWS
The theme of the holiday windows at the Fulton Street Macy’s is “Believe In The Wonder.” Beginning November 26, all three windows will showcase their unique interpretation.

FAD HOLIDAY MARKET AT CITY POINT AND INVISIBLE DOG ART CENTER
A carefully curated fashion, art and design market all in one place means there is something for everyone on your list — and you’re sure to find something that your loved ones definitely don’t already have. Both pop-ups are December 14 & 15.
