Go To Ssam Korean Bistro For The Wings, Stay For The Drinks (And Atmosphere)

When you’re tasked with choosing the venue for catching up with out-of-town clients, but you want to be the cool host who doesn’t drag them somewhere too stuffy, go to Ssam Korean Bistro.

The cocktails are inventive (try the Yozu, a Korean rice wine cocktail) and the Hite lager is ice-cold and flowing. The acoustics in the dark wood space are fantastic (when we went for drinks and bites, they were playing the Beatles) and the menu offers up shareable Korean riffs on American bar food, like Kimchi fries, Bulgogi nachos and extra-crispy wings. (There are also generous soups and hearty bowls of Bibimbap, if anyone in your party is craving something more substantial.)

We suggest you reserve the built-in, cave-like table towards the back for a more intimate bonding experience.
